a reference blog

Hello! This blog is used for references, tutorials, masterposts, and things of the sort! Ask me for my other blogs ♥

So my friend Night expressed a general desire for help with profiles, and I figured I’d go ahead and whip this up! I’m no anatomy master or anything, but this is stuff that helps me quite a bit, so I figured I’d share… even if I have no idea how helpful it actually is. Writing tutorials is hard! Ah well, I hope it can be of some use.

100 Roleplay Scenarios!

Here’s How It Works!

  1. You and your RP group elect one RPer to roll the 100-sided dice. If you can’t decide, just go in alphabetical order of your tumblr roleplay blog usernames. Don’t worry, everyone will get a turn. (If you change your name to get ahead, you will be skipped over until the next time they get to your name. No excuses. Fair is fair).
  2.  Rolling the dice is easy: you go to this site, select “100” from the drop down list for number of sides, “1” for number of dice to roll and “1” for number of rolls. You are only allowed to roll once.
  3. Whatever number comes up, you look up the corresponding number on the scenario list above and figure out a way for your character to instigate it or introduce it. Be creative. Many of these scenarios are left open-ended and vague so the interpretation is entirely up to you.
  4. Watch the scenario unfold.
  5. Repeat once everyone gets bored/or when you want to heighten the stakes. Make sure you’re communicating with your RP group via OCC chat.
  6. Enjoy! :)

Keep in mind, that this isn’t just for the RPers out there. If any writers or artists are feeling stuck, you can use any of these scenarios as a prompt. Pick and choose or roll the dice and see what comes up.

Happy Imaginative Play!

!!!EDIT!!! oopsies i forgot to include the advanced settings for the crayon tool„, , oops u-u

(im reposting this from my main!) (click for full.)

ANYWAYS SO YEAH THOSE ARE THE BRUSHES I USUALLY USE?? ill type up a little bit about each (also not shown here is the binary tool which i use for pixelling!! its pretty„, basic though i dont really have any special settings for it or anything + the blur tool which ive edited and i meaN if anyone wants it later i can like. make something omg)

Pencil - I use this for anything with outlines that dont look weighed??? I almost always use it at size 4 but sometimes ill use it at size 2!! (for any scribbly drawings i do haha)

Brush #1 - this is.…. . such an old brush omg its taken me long to get it like that buT its really nice to use for soft shading?? not so much blending stuff though ahh unless you like the hard difference between two colours which is usually what im going for? USUALLY before using this tool ill use the fancy outline one to lay flat colours in so i can get everything at 100% opacity

Brush #2 - ThIS… is sort of similar to the other brush but as you can clearly see it has a different brush shape ff!! its also like. a bit better for blending although i dont usually use it for blending?? I dont use it a whole lot but i used it in the most recent drawings ive made (specifically the bec noir drawing that i did with the scar on the wrong side!!) but its really cool to use if you need like a simple gradient background to look a bit cooler. its neat.

Fancy Outline - USED„, PROBABLY THE MOST OF ALL THESE its what i use to line, colour, cel shade, doodle, etc. with!! Its really similar to the brush that squeedgemonster uses except it is a bit different because i have the edge hardness turned to zero and i have the Hard <-> Soft set at either 32 or lower!!!! But seriously while it does make really nice lineart it is REALLY REALLY good for colouring in small spaces since you can draw fairly thin lines in and also draw thick ones too :3 its cool. i really love this brush ok!!!! its like one of my favourites ive ever used.

Crayon - I„ RECENTLY CHANGED THIS ONE A TAD but not by much??? I sometimes use it for blending or crayon-like outlines!! i dont use it a whole lot either though but i still like it. Also while i do have blend on for mine you can just set it to zero if you dont want it to blend?? it blends pretty nicely though i think!

THATS„, BASICALLY IT sorry this was a really long response omg!! ALSO the symbols below each brush setting show what kind of brush i made so i could use them?? so make sure if you want to use any of these that the brush you are creating has the same symbol uwu (the crayon and brush ones are the same type of brush! i just named them differently ff)

Anonymous asked you:

How did u get so good at drawing guns, and how long have u been drawing them?

Thank you for the compliment! I wouldn’t call myself an expert on the matter yet (I’m still doing my best to learn!), but drawing guns is actually not as difficult as most people would think-I threw together a little how-to that more or less illustrates my thought process when tackling guns (semi-automatic pistols, sorry). This is just bare bones information however, for there are many different makes and models of guns that won’t always comply with steps 2 and 3 of this tutorial (the example I drew is based off a SIGp228).  But that’s where the internet and picture references come in to help fill in the blanks!

Funny thing is that I avoided drawing guns like the plague up until last year when my buddy finally took me shooting and I think I developed some sort of mutual understanding with them (read: I really really liked it) and decided to learn how to draw them good!

/EDIT/PS ANON IF YOU MEANT TO ASK HOW I DRAW NOT FIREARM GUNS BUT MUSCLE GUNS THEN I’M SORRY OMG

OH BOY GUNS

Just what I needed

THIS IS NOTHING SHORT OF A MIRACLE OMFG
